Turmeric
Green chilli- 3
Mustard- 1 teaspoon
Garlic- 2 cloves
Onion- 1 small
salt
oil
Masala- Soak mustard seeds with garlic and green chillis. Grind into a fine paste.
Wash and drain water from the fish. Add turmeric powder and salt. Set aside.
Dice onion into very fine pieces. Dice 1 green chilli into small pieces.
Heat 1 tablespoon oil in a flat fying pan. When oil is hot, add fish.
Cook under high flame and stir the fish so that it does not get burnt. When the fish starts to brown, add onion and green chillis
Fry till the onions brown with the fish. Add 1 teaspoon of the ground paste. Mix well with the fish. Stir for 2 more minutes and serve hot with Pakhala
Note: If you want to keep it simple, you can just fry the fish with turmeric and salt.
