Preparation For : 4 People | Preparation Time : 30 Minuites (Approx)
  • Kalama Saga- 300gm
  • Rasuna (Garlic)- 8 to 10 cloves
  • Piaja (Onion)-100 gm
  • Kancha Lanka( Green Chili)-2,3pcs (as per taste)
  • Refine Tela(Refined Oil)- 2tbsp
  • Sukhila Lanka (Dry Chili)- 1or 2( as per taste)
  • Salt – as per taste
Preparation : Step wise
  • Remove the thick stems from the saga, clean it properly and cut into small pieces.
  • Cut the onion into thin slices, slit the green chilies and Crush the garlic cloves.
  • Take a deep pan .cook the kalama saga with salt as required. (Less salt is preferred in leafy vegetables). When it’s half cooked remove from flame and keep aside.
  • Heat oil in a pan, add dry chili, add the crushed garlic, fry it till its turns golden brown ,add onion slices to it and fry it till it turns red.
  • Now add the half cooked saga to it. Stir it and cover it till the saga is well cooked. Remove from flame and serve it hot with rice or pakhala.
