Muga (Moong) Dali- 2 cups
Haldi - 1 teaspoon
Salt
Oil
Panch puran- 1 teaspoon
Dry red chillis- 2
Onion- 1/4 diced

Dry heat a frying pan and put muga dali and brown it. Take it off the stove when the dal turns light brown. Now wash the dal and drain water.

In a cooking vessel or Pressure cooker, heat oil. Add dry red chilli, panch puran and onion.
Saute for 2 mins and then add 4 cups hot water. When the water starts to boil, add the washed dal to it.

Put Haladi and salt and pressure cook for 7 mins or till dal is soft.
