Ingredients
  • Arua chaula ( Rice ) -300gm
  • Chana Dali ( Split Bengal Gram ) – 2pc
  • Matara ( Green Pea ) -100grm
  • Patra Kobi ( Cabbage ) – 150grm
  • Beans ( Beans ) -75grm
  • Phula kobi ( Cauliflower ) -200grm
  • Gajar ( Carrot ) – 150grm
  • Piaja ( Onion ) -200grm
  • Bilati Baigana ( Tomatoes ) -200grm
  • Kancha Lanka ( Green Chilies ) -4/5 pc
  • Haladi Gunda ( Turmeric powder ) -1 tsp
  • Gheea ( Ghee ) -3tps
  • Luna ( Salt ) to taste
Preparation : Step wise
  • To start with,finely chop the onions and green chillies.
  • Chop the vegetables (cabbage, beans, cauliflower, carrot and tomatoes) into small pieces.
  • Wash the rice and gram(chana dali) together.
  • Heat ghee in a pan, add onion and green chillies and fry till it turns golden brown.
  • Add the vegetable pieces and fry till it becomes half tender.
  • Add water (double the amount of rice i.e water:rice is 2:1 proportion),turmeric powder and salt to taste and bring it to a boil.
  • Add the washed rice and gram(chana dali) and cook it for 20 minutes on lower flame till it is done.
  • Serve hot.
